2wd Axle Swap, ABS Removal, and Speedo Help!

I have a 2wd that I am doing an axle swap in, however removing the abs will cause the speedo not to work, so I need to figure out how to make it work without abs, any ideas? Here is a link I found to make it work on a 4wd which has some good info, but doesnt help me since I dont have a xfer case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dont really want to do that. I want to remove it altogether. It is rather dangerous on slick roads, and when we go to the dunes, I dont want to have to pull the fuse. I know there is people that has done it, just trying to get a little more info.

It sounds like your doing a lot of work just to remove the abs.

What are real intentions?

Fix a rear axle?
Remove the abs system?
Making a switch to disable the abs when needed?

x2... That sounds like alot of work to eliminate the ABS. I would find an ABS axle, then if you don't want ABS, just pull the fuse and leave it out.

Why will the speedo stop? Just pull the fuse amd either take the ABS bulb out or put black tape over the warning light yet below gauge faceplate.

The speedometer is run off the ABS sensors.

To the OP, you will need to get a vehicle speed sensor from a non abs truck for the speedometer to work.

It is not all to run no abs, full coil over setup bla bla bla but I want the speedo to work, its a pretty custom setup, and adding sensors is not an option. So, which truck would I look for to run it with? Would I need to rewire anything since the ecm is not getting any signal, or do I need to get a new ecm and all? Thanks for all your help. I will post pics once it is finished, it is still in the final stages, and the weather is been pretty cold here as well.

That is the same link I posted, but I think that is for the 4wd model. Not the 2wd, so that still leaves me with a big ole wtf? lol!
