You should definitely come, there is a little bit of everything at Gorman and I have wheeled the entire park while my 4runner was still stock with the original tires and had no problems, just need to be slightly more careful in some sections (and I mean only slightly

Also to everyone;
I was bored today so my girlfriend and I went up to Gorman to look for some snow to play around with and there is not too much left at Gorman, especially towards the back of the park. There is some though, around the entrance and my girlfriend and I even managed to do some sledding :bigok:
As for the rest of the conditions, it is a little muddy in some sections due to the melting snow, but it should dry out more and be a lot of fun on Sunday.

With the lift you won't have any clearance issues, and it now looks like we will have a sunny and dry day so you should be totally fine in 2WD.

That looks like fun guys....wish I could go. Working weekends sucks....Ruffian is getting time off. When I get a SUV club trip planned later this summer, I'll make sure to post here. Ya all can come up to the mtns with your girls and K9's and I'll show ya around the Sierra Nevada's!

Good to hear you'll make it Mabuse. Hopefully everyone on the list makes it and we don't have any no-shows. As of now it looks like a good group is going to make it.
How does meeting at 10:30, then going inside the park at 11 sound to everyone? That way if you are a little behind and don't make it until 10:45 we won't leave you behind.
Also, remember that we are meeting at the back entrance. Exit on Smokey Bear Road off of the 5 freeway. Turn left once you exit, go under the freeway overpass, then turn left once you get to the stop sign. The dirt turnout by the entrance will then be directly on your right, which is where we will meet.
I'll post this information closer to the date to make sure everyone has it. For anyone who hasn't yet PMed me to exchange info, you should consider doing that, so if you are late we don't leave without you... or don't wait on you if you decided you couldn't make it.

Make sure everyone is aware of meeting at the back entrance as stated in my above post.
Gas up before you leave home, or somewhere on the way. Once you hit the grapevine (for Socal residents) there aren't many, if any, places to get gas.
We are just having everyone bring their own sack lunch, cooler, whatever for the day. When we exit the park through the front entrance, there is a Chevron to get gas, and a Carl's Jr. to grab food before the trip home.
Make sure you bring plenty water, hope everyone can make it.
Anything I missed? Let me know if you have any other questions, I am new at this planning stuff.

How about I bring a camp stove and some kielbasa (Ketchup and mus****, and sauerkraut too). We'll pull over and burn up them dogs for lunch.

Hey all, NoCal will still be represented. I'm in Chicago right now and then off to Stamford, CT on tomorrow through Friday so I haven't had much time for response, but been following along.
Getting as psyched as possible, I'll keep a look out for the lunch decision and pack appropriately.
