My truck blew a headgasket about a month ago and I swapped this engine out for a low miles one. This motor came out of a 97 4runner that was totaled in 2016 and I bought it and dropped it in my '86. It blew a headgasket last month with about 200k miles on the clock. It had 175 psi compression on the #1 cylinder and 190 on the others ever since it came from the junkyard. It ran good and I could never source the issue so I just ran it with the idea to rebuild it someday when I had time. This motor was not overheated, it started to run a little rough and blew white smoke on a hot start. I pulled the plugs and found coolant in the #5 cylinder and pulled the engine then. I have the carfax matching the VIN plate for the 4runner it came out of with 154k at the time. I put about 45k on it since 2017. I think this is a good candidate for a hone, ring, valve train and bearing refresh.
Willing to sell whole or for parts. I can ship parts. I also have an extra early 3.4 airbox and a couple of early OEM MAF's that came off running trucks. Probably a few other engine parts too. Let me know what you need!
