3.4 Liter excessive oil usage

Hello everyone! I'm a newbee with 2000 4runner 3.4l oil problem. No leaks, Engine is quiet, no smoke,no water in oil or oil in the radiator but in about 700 miles it used 2 quarts. This 4runner is new to me but has 200k miles and looks well kept. Any ideas before I pull compression tests?

It has the be burning it. My sister in law has a 2005 suburban and it uses around 4 quarts between changes. No leaks on it anywhere and it never smokes.
