3-axis coupler

My poly joint came early! I left the link for this in an earlier post. It's 2 5/8" wide, so a little trimming is necessary.

Got the joint welded up then got a call from my GF.

She was out with a few friends and asked if I was available to pick her up if she had a few more drinks. Sounding like an invitation to a beer run, I headed out. I ended up responsibly sampling this beer. If you ever get a chance to try it, do! It's freakin delicious!

Tomorrow, this Coupler will be all shored up and I'll post a pic of it on my trailer. Thanks for watching.

Finished up

I was able to finish it up this morning and it works as it should. I wanted to point out another change I made to the Truck end. I used a 1"x4" grade 8 bolt, so I could get the maximum amount of shaft in the ball mount hole (giggity). I chopped little of the excess thread off for looks.

atchcraft On that DOM bushing, did you go with the 9/16" or 5/8" center hole bushing? Also, do you have a link for the collar?

I went with the 5/8". That's standard for a hitch pin, so I can use anything to pin it. I don't have a link for the collar. But, if you go into any TSC or industrial supply place, they will have it. Check he first page, there's a drawing that has the TSC part # and I think it's a very common part.

I ordered my bushing and went to tsc and bought my collar today. There really is not much cost to this. :)

There really isn't. I might make a few for Christmas presents. Throw some pics up when you get it done!

For anyone else building this here are pics of what you need to get from Tractor Supply. They should stock these as they are commonly used for 3-point attachments on tractors. Less than $10 with tax.
