I recently put a Gibson on my neighbors, but on a 2005 4th gen. He didn't think he needed a new exhaust until he went under his truck to check it, and touched it with his finger and his finger went through the factory muffler! The muffler can rot from the inside out it seems as these trucks get older.

This guy spent over an hour on the phone with me at 10pm last night to figure out what I actually needed. Headed off a mistake too, since I was going to order this Gibson kit, and it wouldn't have worked for me, and so he got me another kit for similar price.

The gibson kit requires retaining part of your old exhaust after the cat, but I'm replacing my cat and so I need a kit that goes all the way to the flange to bolt up to a new cat. I can't use my old pipe & flange, too rusted up from north east salt. So I have a new Magnaflow cat and JBA exhaust on the way, both in full stainless. He even beat the lowest fleabay price on the cat even though I never asked for that.

I'm the one that spotted the problem, but I only spotted that because he was actually emailing me pdfs of different kits to look at right there on the spot, and the pdf showed the parts.

I was thinking about this yesterday how i missed out on the exhaust buy last month because i decided against it and was kinda upset yesterday i didnt buy one.. Then i missed this one too! FML
