I just placed an order for a bottle of 303 Aerospace to use on my mud flaps, running board, Revos, and possibly dash. I've heard others mention before that the 303 should be diluted before using. Is that true? If so, what should the ratio be?

Also, as a side question, does anyone see any problem using Greased Lightning on tires before applying the 303? That's what I've always used to clean my tires and it has worked great, but then again I've never had a brand new set of $700 Revos :)

Sorry for the bombardment of questions recently. Hopefully after this week I will be able to answer more than ask :)

What is this stuff? Is it like a premium Armor All type of product? I've never heard of it, sorry.

What are the benifits of this product, compared to Armor All or Meguires products?

As mentioned above you shouldn't have to dilute it. It's an awsome product that looks like Armor all but is not greasy. I've been using it for over a year now. I find that I tend to use it more on the interior than the exterior but I do use it on the running boards, mud flaps and window molding...It's just a bit to expensive for me to use on tires but if you can afford it, it would do a great job.

Best thing about it is it dries to the touch...does not stay greasy like an oil based product thus does not draw the dust like an oily product. Also works great on your outside flat black paint like the trailer hitch and rear spoiler (on my 3rd Gen)

Only bad thing about using it on the outside is that it tends to come off pretty quickly in the rain since it's not oil based so you will find yourself applying a bit more often.

Oh almost forgot the best part is the UV protectant factor :bigok:
 
The thing I like about this stuff is the finish it leaves, not shiny, just new looking. So, dilution isn't necessary.

Pretty much any all-purpose cleaner will work fine on cleaning your tires, just don't take a can of powdered comet or something to it. Eagle One used to make a great tire cleaner, but they replaced it with the A2Z Tire/Wheel cleaner that works equally well.

Personally, I wouldn't compare it to ArmorAll or Meguiars -- I find them to be kind of oily. 303 Aerospace seems to be thinner, but also seems to work better on the tires and cladding.
 
303 also works great under the hood. I like to use Vinylex on the dash. 303 everywhere else.

I use Wesley's bleach white on the tires. Works great, I've never seen tires so clean. But it may harm the rims. I will try something less harsh next time.

I've had the old Eagle1 wheel cleaner (orange bottle) etch my driveway. Scary.
 
I have been using it for couple of years and I like it. The main reason for me to go with that is it's UV protection. I apply them on entire interior and on rubber inserts on doors and on sun roof inserts.

So far my 2000 ES300 doesn't have any fading inside :).

We used the 303 product for our RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) back when I was stationed in Hawaii. We applied it to all the rubber parts of the boat. They do keep the rubbers look like new and easier to clean but most importantly the rubbers do not fade (in color). Great product.
 
I know of it for boats. I use it to spray my cover periodically (once every year). It supposedly enhances the cover's ability to repel water and protects it. I never knew it could be used for the same stuff as armor all. It is kind of expensive for frequent use.

Try their Web Site jharris2 above mentioned. They have a store locator. Get a price locally and then check it on their web site including shipping and go with the cheaper. It actually was cheaper for me to get it from them including shipping.

As with most things, the more you buy at a time the cheaper it gets.
 
been using 303 on my 94 truck, and all the weatherstripping, window trims and tonneau cover, all look brand new..even after 10+years. Great stuff! can be ordered from performance products i think there's free shipping for a limited time too:)
 
Here's the deal, do NOT use any product that is petroleum based on any rubber/plastic/vinyl. Armor-All is shit, do not use this, 303 is a great product.

I agree, but don't know exactly why.

Can someone give me a good explanation of why petroleum based products are so bad? I'd love to be able to explain this to someone else...
 
It truly is great stuff. I dont use it on tires due to its cost, but I have been using it on the interior of the runner since I bought her and I think it has been the sole reason for me not having any scuffs, scratches on the interior panels. I FOUND A GREAT NEW USE FOR IT--I applied it to my clear IP glass that is so prone to scratching and so far it has not scratched even after repeating wipings. Yes, it does work on clear plastic surfaces as noted on the package label. Just be sure and only wipe up and down not across the panel. I too found it at my local West Marine store.
