Back on the design grind for this project... Just finished drawing up the outer shell of the grille. Now time to get tho the technical stuff: mount standoffs, hood release latch mount, internal supports, grill mesh attachment points, etc.

I recently bought a Hilux Surf High-Spirit grille (the one with the easily removable center portion) off of another user. I plan on using that for my own mesh grille now. However, I also have access to a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) that I can use to accurately reverse engineer my Hilux grille and design a prototype that'll fit correctly.

This is a big step forward, as the 4Runner grille is very hard to measure using conventional methods.

Just started my Satoshi mod on my '03.... [emoji33] and so far so good! However I've only gotten to the sanding everything down before re fabricating with fiberglass and bondo, etc. I'm still VERY interested in one of these when they come out though seeing as how I have yet finish mine and see how it turns out! Haha

I find this thread insulting and perhaps even biased as its only for 03-05. What about us 06-09 people. I am reporting it the powers to be! Maybe TiN will see the error of his ways and make one for us lonely and left out 06 owners
