3D Printing SR5 mudflaps?

so heres my idea, its a cap that fits over the end of the flare to bring it all the way down to the bottom of thd body just like the limited flares do, then you can add a functional flexible mud flap. my rear "mud guards are crushed already, so i find this to be an elegant and functional solution to the problem.

Ok so heres prototype 3, for the production version ill probably use a lower layer height, and possibly acetone smooth it, But I personally like the 3d printed look.

i'm saving them for a rainy day, although I would sure love a set of those caps

so for right now im going to sell them at $80 for a set. it takes about 10 hours to print them so i feel like thats a fair price. ill make a post in the classifieds when im ready to start shipping them out. Does that include the acetone smooth finish? If so I am in.

probably not, since im printing these in abs, I have to watch the machine to make sure the part doesnt warp badly, in which case I have to use a hot air gun. the acetone smoothing is complicated as well, and would add extra time to the process, not to mention it could just melt the whole thing. considering how much a company like shapeways would charge for something like this, this is a great deal. Instead for a few bucks extra what i will do is spray it with a thick truck bed liner.

Don't worry about the bedliner part, I can do that myself when I have the part. Still in for a set when you start producing!
