3m matte black vinyl

Ok, just finished it up a little bit ago. It turned out really well (I think) and wasn't that bad to put on. I know the back looks a little odd because of the sudden stop that it makes on the flare but it goes to the shop in April for a rear bumper. I will adjust it to match the bumper when I get it back.

Looks great with exception of the rear fender flares ending at the bumper. What a bummer that they didn't just make the TE fenders universal for the 4Runner so folks could just paint/vinyl them to get the TE look without the cost of buying new flares?

Looking good though....
 
Serious Vinyl Skills

You've got some serious vinyl skills. The exterior looks stock and the interior had to be super tedious man. Well done. I dig the carbon fiber look, it looks real clean. Better than any interior dash kit you can purchase. Idk if i'd have the patience or skill to do the interior like that, I'm impressed.
 
Just for the record, the crappy little box cutter that comes with the 3M….it's not crappy, it's really sharp.

Co4Runnin - you should come out wheeling with us sometime!

Definitely man. I'm currently traveling for work and skiing whatever good snow i can find around the country along the way... So I dont have time to wheel the runner at the moment, but count me in during the summer. I'll definitely be making some camping/wheeling/mtn bike trips and it would be cool to check out your rigs in person.

And I'm diggin the Storm Troop look you got goin on your runner. It looks really awesome.

Thanks man. Yeah the interior was tedious! Heat and stretch, heat and stretch, heat and stretch :)

I dont know, Mag Chloride I guess. It sucks, truck is only a year old!

Yep, I would have bought a white TE instead of an SR5 if there had been one available. Oh well, I will just make my own.
 
Vinyl application

Sup 5th GEN T4R folks,

if anyone in the Bay Area want to vinyl wrap any parts or exterior (TE look), i can help. i've worked with Vinyl for 10+ years and for a small fee i can wrap anything you want. PM me if i can be of service!

has anyone tried this on a TE hood yet? I noticed the glare for the first time the other day from the scoop.
 
Sam, have you or anyone else thought of doing a blend into the rear bumper to achieve the effect of the trail. At least until you get your bumper finished.

Yep, everyday that I walk out in the garage and look at it. The "unfinished" look of it is driving me crazy but…. I don't have a ton of the stuff left and I know BFLAN needs some. Once I get over there and we get his done then I will take what's left and try and come up with something to finish it off until I get the bumper on.
