I'm sure we've lost a good amount members due to attrition and also added a bunch.

Its official:

Snow trip over Palomar Mtn this Saturday. Weather reports say there will be heavy snow on Friday and Friday night. I expect heavy snow means 4+ inches.

The plan is to meet on the Mtn at 10am.
Location: Palomar Mtn. (Just NE of San Diego)

Hmm, that's right in my neck of the woods, and I have that day off. But I also have never wheeled in the snow, and I'm not sure how well these KM2s (or I) would do :smow:.

How technical does the Palomar Mountain trail get?

Its just a dirt fire road. Not very technical at all. Probably a 3/10 and an hour long.
There are other trails nearby as well.

Dammit. I just realized that the supercross is this Saturday, and I had already promised some out of town friends that we would go to that :ybrick:. I would definitely be game for whatever your next run is though.

There was about 2-4 inches of snow on Palomar Mountain today.

Drove over the mountain; it is an unpaved fire-road.

Pretty good times except for the $71 ticket for not paying the park visitation fee at the gate. I will consider that a donation to the forestry service!

Trip Report:

Went over Palomar Mtn yesterday.

There was about 2-4 inches of new snow on the trail. Definitely less then last year but still worth checking out.

What's up So Cal brethren.

I'm heading to Big Bear from the Bay Area this weekend to visit some family, but gonna sneak in a trail run on Saturday. I'm looking for recommendations on moderate trails 5 or 6 of 10 on difficulty. Also wondering if anyone else will be wheeling in the area as I'd prefer to meet up with some local like minded folk who know the trails.

Broker mentioned he'll be up there too, so lets make this a 3rd gen run. I'm open to driving a little ways off the hill to get off the snow if needed.
