So i have a question to ask of all of you. I'm new here and have a stock 2000 4runner w/105,000, I want to lift a little just for better look and maybe a little wheeling. Ive read the thread here, but I what would a full Tundra suspension do for a 4runner?

What do you mean by full Tundra suspension? There are a few different coil and shock options you can do.
Also, the rear of a Tundra is leaf sprung so nothing will work in the back of the 4Runner except for the shocks which require you to swap the lower bushings.

didnt know it was leaf sprung, so would the monroe quick struts up front and kyb in the rear with L/c coils and a diff drop be best or bilstein 4runner all around with OME coils?

I can do the quick struts I have access to a navy car port, its pretty much a full garage. and the OME up front 880 and rear 906

I have an opportunity to get some new 32in tires really cheap for my 2001 4-runner, do I need to lift it to fit them?

small world, I also live in Huntsville...I called Rocket city off-road and they offered to install a rough country kit for 590, but from looking at that kit online it only replaces the rear shocks while putting spacer in for struts and using original struts. So I started looking elsewhere online found complete OME suspension lift kit for about 900. I have never done any suspension work so I'm struggling to decide whether to go with cheap kit installed or try and install better kit myself. What do you think? Have you done any lifts?

If you have a jack, a pair of stands and some basic tools its not too hard to do yourself and save that $$$ on labor + its more fun to DIY right??
I can't remember the reason but I have gotten a quote from Rocket City Offroad for something in the past and their price was OUTRAGEOUS. That was the first and last time I called them. Seems like they mostly specialize in heep wranglers anyways

For my '01 Im going with a full set of Tundra Bilstein 5100s with Land Cruiser springs in the rear and still trying to decide on front springs possibly Tundra TRD coils or the Eibach coils from Toytec.
Total cost:
Set of 4 Bilstein Tundra 5100s: $350
Land Cruiser 8 wrap Coils: $40
Front coils Tundra/Eibach: $150-$200
Thats $540+ for what will be far superior to the rough country kit, in my opinion. Make sure you read this entire sticky and decide from there what you want to do. Make sure you also read over Rickshays opinion of the OME lift vs. Tundra TRD/LC lift.

I doubt you'd need a lift to fit them. There a quite a few guys running 265/75/16's without a lift.
After 3 bumpy years on a 3" spacer lift in the front, OME 890 coil in the rear llift installed by the p/o, I think I have myself talked into a Toytec Ultimate lift! Superflex coils with Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear, extended rear brake line, and Firestone air bags. What else do I need to consider to make this work? I intend to use my front swaybar links in the rear, and order 2nd gen rear swaybar links for the front. Do i need to source some longer bumpstops to save my shocks from bottoming out? Anything else I may be forgetting? How important are aftermarket UCA's? I have been going back and forth on the LR UCA's. Presently running 265/75/16 tires, so rubbing is not a problem.
Many people use the rear shocks from the FJ80 one the rear when they lift with the land cruiser springs. Not sure about the later model though....

You wont fine matching shocks for ome because they only recommend using ome with ome shocks. Your best bet is to buy the OME shocks.
Does anyone know if i was to get the the front spring and shock from a 2000-2006 Tundra would they fit my 4runner without having to do any modifications. I know a guy i can get some from that knows a lot about Toyota and he said he has never heard of someone doing this and didn't know if they would fit with out having to modify it to fit?
