There is a nice silver OEM Sport hood at a salvage yard in Crestview Florida that someone should buy. It has been there since June 9, 2016. It is on a 2000 that looks to have some other good parts up for grabs.

Only like minded 3rd Gen junkyard dogs would appreciate my scores from last weekend. 4.10 elocker rear axle minus the actuator, set of Camburg UCA, Toytec extended length bumpstops, Toytec 9602 3" lift rear coils. All items are for sale.

Found 24 valve shims! And a big pocket full of misc. nuts and bolts, wiper motor and wiper arms.

Our local dump has a vehicle section and yesterday there was a 2000s Tacoma roll over there. Someone had already taken the TB, intake manifold and valve covers. It was a quick job for me to pull the cams and collect the shims.

Now I have my own valve shim collection! I would normally be hesitant to use used shims, but this engine was extremely clean inside. It had a Toyota oil filter so it was loved at one point, and the fact that it was a rollover likely means the engine was fine. Can't understand why someone didn't pull the drivetrain. It was all intact minus the elocker rear that someone snagged already. The recyclers had already cut out any refundables like alt. and battery and most copper wire.

Best score in a while and absolutely free. Sadly, it was an ADD Tacoma. I have never seen manual hubs here in the Yukon.
