everything has been cleaned up minus carpet(its in the trash can) engine is fine but the abs light is on now i think the water got to it and shorted it out somehow, but its okay ih8ABS

I was really hoping you would just turn around the first time you backed out. Its one of those clips that your yelling at the screen for the person to stop, but they don't.

So you still thinking of selling it? You can add a nice new carpet to the for sale ad...

OP. That sucks, man, no doubt. I've been there. I think it was avoidable though if you had built up some momentum. Rule of mud = As fast as possible, as slow as necessary. Easing into that mud pit like you did is probably what got you stuck.

Last mud hole I got stuck in did it for me. I don't attempt them any more until after I have investigated them by either wading in there or testing the depth and consistency with a stick.

1. If you are from Walnut Creek, CA, have you gone to Hollister, CA? I have never been 4x4 in Tracy but Hollister is pretty cool.

2. Never be the first one to drive into a mud pit.

3. If you do drive into mud pit, try going sideways not longways first next time.

4. I would be concerned about any water getting into the intake.
I'm guessing you will find out within 10,000 miles if any did.

5. Suggest changing the oil - yesterday.

Dude! I find this comical! You just finished telling me I should pressure wash the undercarriage of my truck because it's all greasy and you've just F'd up your interior with a swim in a mud hole!

I'd rather have a greasy undercarriage man, than not have a carpet in my rig! lol!

I'm sure it was fun though.....so that's all that matters! arty:

yeah i was thinking in my head should i head in fast and risk hydrolock or should i test out the water then floor it risking sinking

covered the speakers, as of right now robber mats all around its not bad actually really easy to clean

1.been to hollister many times its a blast.

4. no water in air intake 3 inch lift and 33s provided enough lift
5. all fluid changed right after

x2..I learned my lesson that just because a mudhole isn't deep one day doesn't mean somebody with 52's didn't rut it out to hell and back the next. I was sitting on my axles with tires shooting water 10ft in the air, out in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone service and a 10 mile hike. Lukily I was found but still took 9 hours to get home. The lesson was learned.

everything is clean now, but once a while when i slam the door too hard some hard clay falls out lol it was fun the truck is running good just went to two triips after than no problem all fluid looks good.
