3rd gen fabbed step bars

I was wanting to take off my running boards on my 99 limited and replace them with tubular fabbed step bars. I can't find any specifically made for the 3rd gen, so I was thinking of getting ones the same length and just making them work. Any suggestions? Or does anyone know if someone makes them for the 3rd gen?

Do they have to look just like that?
I only ask since it is also possible to purchase a rock slider type and simply
rotate the outrigger downward to creat a lower step.

There are a few (many?) mfrs. that offer non-fixed kits to do this.

I would like them to look like this, I like the rock slider idea too. Any suggestions where to find some?

These have to be welded together and then welded to the frame. You "can" bolt them to the frame, but if you actually want to use them, I would recommend having them welded.
