Once we have an official group buy going, I'll be announcing purchase details and procedures. Keep in mind, at this time, we're just garnishing interest to strengthen our position.
Yes, completely rebuildable just like King, Icon, and Fox. If I had to guess, I'd say around 3" max, yes.
These are my thoughts exactly, which is precisely why I lobbied to have it moved back to 3rd gen section. They aren't pretty, but they should offer a massive improvement over the tired 5100's.
I'd imagine those interested would just be able to add these at a discounted rate during checkout. I know I'll be running them myself!

Also, as I mentioned in the OP, we are in need of one (1) OEM strut assembly with spring to send to FOA for research purposes. They are going to base the fronts off this. PM me or text me @ 480.779.8307 if you have one. Thanks

OK so based on data from OP I'm estimating 700-800 for COMPLETE front coil overs, is that about right? I will be curious on the real numbers because at that price range there are other well known options.
Also, has the issue with metal flaking inside the shocks been addressed? I have read, and heard this is/was an issue.
Still interested in fronts depending on a few variables.

I'm not sure it's an issue of cheapness. He had mentioned he'd need one to get started and I volunteered to find one. So here we are.

You might be referring to my coilovers with the flaking issue. You get what you pay for, I think the internals are nearly on par with the big name brands but the quality and tolerances are looser which is why there was some metal chips. If I bought some again I would rebuild the shock before even installing, not that I think it would ever impact performance or make much difference on seal life but you do have metal chips floating around in the fluid and valves... Not sure if that was manufacturing and lack of post clean up or something rubbing internally.
I'm hoping you guys can help me make some decisions on my rig. I'm not really sure if this setup in this group buy is what I need. I don't know much about the higher end suspension components.
I currently have from Toytec:
OME881 with 91S up front (1/4" top spacer to give me the full lift)
OME891 with N86 in the rear
Diff drop kit with all extended brake lines
This was all installed about 10 years ago but everything looks to be in good shape (except a little rust here and there)
I don't wheel hard but a couple times a year, I just want my rig to be capable of it. I'm in PA, so mostly slow rock crawling and snow/mud stuff. I also don't drive it all that much, under 10k miles a year.
I've dealt with the harsh ride all of these years thinking that was just what a lifted truck drove like. But as I am getting older now, I'd love to see if there is a better option then what I have on there now.
I've just upgraded to a AOR front bumper which added some weight to the front and the OME881 are sagging a bit. Toytec said I could replace them with OME883 and take out the top spacer and should put me back to around 3" and level everything out again.
I'm not a fan of large rake, I much prefer the level look.
I've also went with 17" FJ wheels and 285/70/17 Fierce Attitude tires with 1.25" spidertrax at all 4 corners. I've got a 1/2" body lift I need to put on yet, but am contemplating ordering a poly body mount kit for around $200 and don't want to install everything twice)
So I guess I am wondering if you guys can give me some advice on what these fancy shocks/springs in this group buy actually do and would they be a good idea for me?
I mean we are looking at around a grand to replace everything with this group buy right? (but for about $200 I can swap out the front OME springs)
Is this set up more for crazy running in the desert, or will this give me a better ride on the road but still let me rock crawl and have fun wheeling?
