3rd gen fuel tank

Have a bit of a problem and hoping you guys could give me a strait answer since I cannot seem to find one. I trashed the gas tank on my 96 looked all over my area and cannot find one anywhere close. There are several second gens around being parted out and several pick-ups also. We're the tanks changed on the 3rd gens or will a second gen tank work

Chassis change from 2nd to 3rd so the tanks are different.
