3rd Gen Owner Looking at 1973 FJ40 Restoration model

I have a chance to pick up a 1973 FJ40 LandCruiser with lots of spare parts including two extra axles, etc. I would buy this as a rebuild/restoration project. I understand the good restorations of these vehicles can fetch $18K-$25K once they sell.

The vehicle and engine is in fairly good shape. Has the doors, soft top, etc.

What does everyone think? Is it worth the $3,500 with all the extra parts and such?
