Finally Removed the running boards!

Gave the runner a bath and removed the running boards!! What a big improvement!

So I finally got the 4WD working again after I replaced my front diff with one from the pick and pull and decided to do a mellow test run. I went up to Mount Baldy with a friend. There was a minor rock slide so I had an extra obstacle and couldn't resist.

I just place an order for the Addicted Offroad HD sliders so that should help in situations like this one. I still had a few inches of clearance, but I already have a few bad rocker hits so it was time.

Needless to say, the 4WD is working. It's nice to drive the 4Runner after it being down for so long.

Haha! Yeah, Mount Baldy's usually really simple and I kept telling myself to be gentle so I don't break something again but with the rock slide blocking the trail, the temptation was just too great.:fro:

Finally got my 33's on today after a ton of headaches with my lift and alignment! I'm a little disappointed to be honest though. I expected them to look much bigger. I think the problem is that they are 10.5x33's on stock rims, so they sit very far in and would look a lot better if I spaced them out an inch or so. Anyone else have the same problem? I'll have pics up soon.

Just got my first 4Runner!

Got my first 4Runner and I'm SO excited! 1997 2wd manual with 140k miles. Bought it for only $2,850. Besides the dent in the front, it's in perfect condition. Got the oil changed and my mechanic says everything is in good shape! I hope to have this truck for 200k+ miles. Everything is stock so far but I'd like to change the wheels and get bigger tires eventually after the tread wears down on these (I personally think these wheels are pretty ugly). Any advice for a new 4runner owner would be greatly appreciated!
