So I have had my 99 4Runner for a couple months and after some engine work I decided to make an attempt and restore the paint job. I bought the Meguirs Paint Restoration Kit for $25 and after 5 hours of hard work, here is the before and after.

Single Stage red Toyota trucks FTW. Looking very nice. Makes me want to go out and give my paint a good buff. Too bad it's snowing.

Looks great! I love the Toyota radiant red. Looks like you have a one stage coat like my 1st gen, what a great quality paint.

I gotta share my red Turbo before and after.

Gotta love the red Toyota paint! Now you need to get rid of that pink top!

Speaking of red...

New to the forum. Picked this up last week.

'96 SR5 4x4 AT, 110k. $3500. Very clean and it has nice newer Goodyears on it - which is good since I'd likely be tempted to spend some money on a size or two up.

Apologies for the instagram photo.

Already did some regular maintenance on it and have the parts to swap to the Tacoma antenna as the power unit is broken on this one. Have some dash light gremlins to sort out, otherwise it's very solid.

Will likely go with a small lift and upgrade to Tundra brakes. Lots of good info here.

I have a small maltese but I actually have no clue who's dog that is. It was just wandering around in my driveway when I snapped the pictures. I wanted to see if I could help locate the owners but everytime I tried to get close it would run from me.

I believe he had a gap from a BL. Not sure how easy it is to fix that with that tube bumper.

Love the color, but I might be biased. :biggrin2:

Not many can tell the difference between Radiant Red but that is Cardinal Red. The color was a carry-over from 2nd gens and only available in 1996, making it rather rare.

I look forward to seeing updates.
