Is the lake still at record lows? I'm hoping its in better shape due to the wet winter.

The water was right up to the trees and above all of the high water lines you can see in summer. So unless the dam is just not letting water out, the level was quite high.

We spent the day just south of Morgan Creek and it was RAGING into the lake.

2001 T4R SR5 Sport Edition 2wd

Whats everyone!

I'm new here on this site, I've recently purchased a 2001 T4R SR5 Sport Edition 2wd. 180k on the dash. the car is pretty clean for being 14 years old! This will be my daily, exploring and surf/camp adventures. I'll be looking to make a few upgrades, however I'll not be doing any rock crawling or extreme off roading, thats why I opt for 2wd. Well I saw a sweet deal and I took it. So yeah, Mostly surf trips and explore our beautiful country.

Let me know what you think and also suggestions as well.

Awesome! my 1st 4runner was 2wd, albeit a 95... IF you ever get the chance for a rear locker, do it. They aren't just for rock crawling.

I swapped in a rear axle from a 90/95 series Prado. Straight swap and finally rid of the horrible drums.

I wonder if we could get the axle shaft backing plates from somewhere and swap them over...

EDIT:

Nope, bolt pattern on axle is different....
