3rd Gen T4R Picture Gallery

All, this is my recently acquired 2000 SR5 4WD. Lightly modded with a 3" lift via Bilstein 5100 adjustable and OME springs in the front, and 5100's and OME springs in the rear. 15" ATX AX201 rims and Michelin ATX tires all around. Not much else done to her than that. 164,000 miles and running strong. I do have a question for the members, I have been looking for someone who makes a nice 2 or 3" predator style tube step/slider and have been stumped. N-Fab and Smitty Built don't, or at least they don't list it. I see a few on here in pictures, anyone care to share what manufacturer makes one to fit our 3rd Gens? Or are these all custom?




I should mention I have changed the wheels to the new ATX's since I took this pic, I wasn't a big fan of the MB's pictured here.

Update

Started installing my suspension this past weekend. Did the front install first, but when I got to the rear, I noticed that toytec had sent me the wrong shocks. I'm still waiting to have the correct ones delivered to me. :/

Here's my 97 with 243000 miles. I bought it from my Dad who's had it the last 5 years. I've put some work into it but I love this truck more and more every time I get in it. They don't make em like this anymore!

Okay here we go! Came from 6 cherokees. Sold my rav4 today and picked this up for 2k!

I have a new hood and grill for it. Going to get the hammer out tomorrow and see what I can do to get it perfecto (say bye to the bumper)

Debating taking it to a frame shop or just trying to get an alignment but something is bent. Pulls to the right while driving and even harder when breaking.

But still. a 96 with an e locker and sunroof! Couldn't be happier. Happiest about the color too.

Man, nice rig. I have always liked the "beefed up OEM look" since
these trucks are already so aesthetically pleasing w/ no mods
whatsoever.

Went out to tahuya again this past weekend to chooch around a little bit want to see how much articulation i get with my tires and got a little rubbing in the back on some pretty good compression. Sliders on the way. Maybe a lift or rear bumper next

I just got those same tires last week. Was a pain to get balanced! After road forcing them I had to send 2 back for new ones. Now they are just right! How are yours working out so far?

I just got those same tires last week. Was a pain to get balanced! After road forcing them I had to send 2 back for new ones. Now they are just right! How are yours working out so far?

I'm loving mine so far, no issues whatsoever. I really like that they don't make a lot of noise.

Check how hot your right front wheel is compared to the left after a drive. Your problem could be a seized caliper.

I had a similar issue when I first bought mine. Would pull to one side like crazy and was worse when braking. Drove like this for a while until it got bad enough that it became obvious the caliper was the culprit.

That's why I just upgraded from the 190MM Tundra to the 230MM. Every 2 years I'd go through a set of calipers from the local store. Pistons would seize up on them. Even with their "Life Time Warrantee" it wasn't worth it. But it would feel like an alignment issue, just like you described, but I pulled my tires off and was inspecting everything and could tell both calipers were clamped down on the rotors.

Yesterday, I changed them out and I'm running straight and true again, with and without braking.
