But all of the running gear was out of an 80s truck that got an upgrade to ton's and an atlas.

Most of the SAS parts are TG, adapters are Marlin to the Auto trans into dual cases.
Frame stiffeners with steering box mounts, tapped box from a first gen, hydro assist w/ TG pump.

I have an exhaust crossover I didn't use. I was able to get the exhaust and the driveline down the same side.
I tied the frame together with a TG bumper mount so I'm probably stuck running one of their bumpers.

I know all of that seems pretty vague I know. any questions I can answer?

I also completely gutted the ABS system, and added a proportioning valve to the rear brakes, (GM Rear Disc)
also added an electronic speed sensor and spliced into the cluster to get a speedo back, I'm off about 10% right now. But my torque app is corrected, but digital Dakota builds a control box to correct it.

been helping my friend look for 2 years...been sniped and ghosted countless times, and looked at plenty of duds. last weekend we were about to look at a 100k 99 limited in immaculate condition for $6000 in SF and got sniped at 9am....it was a sign from the 4runner gods because we got this highlander instead.

lights are modified i dont know what but they are bright and look better than my sr5

best part is the interior is IMMACULATE. owner took great care of it. looks like it came out of the show room, no joke. there isnt even dust under the seats or under the flaps where the jack is.

That's one of those situations where both parties walked away thinking, "That guy is an idiot.." I assure you HE is the idiot in this situation. Good find, and I hope it works out well. :trophy:

Dude my buddy "wants" to buy a 4Runner as well but I don't think he's that sure about it still. I sent him that truck you just bought and told him he can't pass on that deal, he never replied back tho haha.

Nice wheels! What did you do to clear your brakes? I ended up grinding just a tad to fit 199 brakes. I didn't love the idea of spacers but really wanted the LC80's

[MENTION=143215]raKnizek[/MENTION] I ground them down to fit the 231 They fit fine on the back but had to do all of them including the spare so I could rotate them. Like you I did not want spacers as they fit perfectly to the edge of the trim without.

Yes! I'm impressed. Was wondering if anyone would catch that. Actually the American Racing version of the Python was polished aluminum not chrome. These were part of the EPIC brand (made by American Racing also behind the scene) which were triple chrome plated. Same wheel, but chrome instead of polished with diff center caps

I loved this wheel back then when I got them as it was a classy wheel but still had a rugged look. It's aged very well. Wish they still made them as they still get compliments.
