figure i'd add some new pictures. i took off the roof rack, not sure if i should put it on back on yet or not. do you guys think it looks better w/ or w/o?

also the new license plate and shaved rear.

Yeah Sloan, I would have to agree with jhabit, looks cleaner w/out the rack.

Sloan- I'm not sure I like the 4runner shaved. I think it looks a little plain. I was thinking about doing it to mine though. Can you tell where the letters were? Did you use the Goo Gone + dental floss method?

jhabit- That's a pretty nice 4runner. I would like to do the same things to mine, but I don't think they would be practical for a daily driver.

yes i did use dental floss and some stuff called goof off.

i know the rear looks plain. its probably also because when i bought my 4runner it didnt have a towing hitch or the black rear wind deflector for the hatch so now i'm going to have to buy those things and add myself. once i get that and a few stickers for my back glass it will look a little better


and jhabit what kind of mpgs do you get with your ride? and how does it ride with all that lift?

I get around 15-16 mpg, the weight of the rims probably don't help at all. And in all honesty it rides very well for having what it has on it. Of course you feel bumps a little bit more than stock, but I love the ride.. and I love the humming of the tires. Everyone who has driven it or has rode with me say it drives really well.

havent been on in a while, last pic that has been taken, its been sitting in a shop for the last month getting the inchworm crawler fixed, finally have it back but i broke 3 ribs dropping it on my chest, i have to have some others muscle it in this wednesday so i can get it back on the road.

The grille is from burtman.

and i wanted the skid plate just for looks, but the brackets were not made for fat lip bumpers so i followed up on the mod that was on yotatech by a fellow member to extend the brackets 3 inches.

I got it from toyota with my discount, but the brackets they came with should fit the 96-98 bumpers
