First time on, seein if I can post

My first 4runner, so new to me that I only have pictures from the dealer's site. 97 sr5 w/ cd player, sunroof, tow package. Driven by 1 owner, a doctor who dealer maintained it for all 113,000 miles of it's young life.

Totally stock '99 SR5 4x2. Looking to add on some mods though. I wanna go with some BFG All Terrain 31's as my first step. Then I'm thinking about blacking out the emblems, tinting the windows, adding a bull bar or skid plate, K&N intake and air filter...I've got a bunch of ideas haha. All of which have come from checking out everyone else's cars.

Thanks! And yeah, I'm glad other people out there drive 2WD's too! What are the off-roading options available for 4x2's? Is it still possible to do some off-roading as long as you get the rear locking diff that I've seen people suggest?

i just do light off-roading. never go in a mud hole and just sit in though, if you hit it you better go lol. my friends all have 4wd jeeps or trucks so i can always just get pulled out.

mine is to new though so i dont really want it getting messed up, plus my dad will kill me

I hear ya. Yeah I figured that 2WD would be more for some light off-roading and just messing around.

Yeah my parents might not be too happy when I show up back home for Christmas in a car that will hopefully look much different than when they last saw it!

cant tell from that pic just which lift he/she has, but they do have Total Chaos upper control arms. Doesnt wheel it much, not a single scratch/dent, the rear lower arms are still straight, lol mine "use" to look that good lol

looks like its a 3" lift, poss. a 1"BL
