How did you fit 285/75/16 with stock suspension? I thought 265/75/16 is the biggest with no lift.
What kind of rims are those?

My thoughts exactly. Someone on here told me it was impossible to fit 285s without a lift.

The rims are Rota Grid Type-X. A friend of mine works at Rota so he was able to get me a really good price on them. They are no longer in production but if you guys are interested he might be able to do an order.

I was able to fit the 285 MT's with minimal front mods. I think the 00-02's might not be able to clear these due to the lower suspensions. All I did was trim the front bumper valance and a little of the fender well trim. The rears fit no problem. I do have slight rubbing issues under full lock or under heavy load while turning.

I have an OME 3" lift waiting to be installed.

haha I the same thing happen to me on a similar hill with my hitch digging a trench and acting like a anchor, I took it off right there on the spot and made it up. looks like you made it up that one fine though.

it took atleast 10 mins or so tho... i was determined not to give up. there was a lot of burnt rubber it took technicality that the picture couldnt show. but it was fun and i was glad she made it! and the hitch is no longer on the truck either haha

With the right backspacing you can clear the upper control arms but there is no way that he clears the running boards, etc. under flex. I tore up my flares with 265/75's and no lift while crawling in Utah so there is no way he is getting away with 285's.

Yeah, if you look at teh front left wheel, it looks like the tread is being overtaken by the lowest grey plastic part of the bumper. The wheels and tires do look nice though.
