I have been driving Toyota's since I was 16, started with an '83 long bed 4x4 (solid front axle 22r!!) had a 84 celica, 94 xcab 4x4, 04 xcab trd tacoma, and now my 97 t4r. I have been learning some new tricks from you guys, and have had quite a few laughs from some of the posts so I figured I'd let ya see my baby.

I bought her bruised but not beaten from some guy that was movin, paid 4k cash (no payments!!). Had to replace front bumper it was wasted, shocks and springs were worn so got me the OME lift for the rear, just a spacer in front. New K&N, 265/75/16 BFG's, moto metal wheels (craigslist $250), husky liners front & rear (cl $50), ventvisors (ebay $50), thule roof rack for bikes and boards (cl $75).

I'm still waiting for someone to put a supercharger, front ARB and rear custom bumper on craigslist for, I dunno $350 for the package on craigslist. LOL

2.5 inch SkyJacker lift, Procomp Shocks and Struts, Procomp 16.8 xtreme alloy wheels, and Procomp 285/75 Tires, looking forward to some 4wheelin soon!

Here's my 97 4runner. I bought it for $4400 with 118K and a new clutch. 3.4L, 5spd, and 4wd.

I just installed the Landcruiser Rims (I got all 5 rims with 275/70/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Tires for $100). Other MODs:
1) Deckplate mod ($16)
2) O-gasket mod ($11)
3) Hella 500's off ebay for $35 shipped
4) Uhaul class IV hitch ($160)
5) Husky Liners
6) Bug shield for the hood and windows

Future MODs:
1) ISR Mod
2) Extended Rear Diff Breather
3) 2.5-3in Coil lift (Haven't decided what I want yet)
4) 1" Diff Drop after I get it lifted

What exactly are you pulling with a class IV hitch? I thought even a class III would meet or exceed towing capacity. If it is just overkill because you can, "I like it and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter". :bigok:

As requested. Here she is on 42's with 5.71 gearing and open differentials. The suspension and steering setup on this are nothing to be proud of. The previous owner did all the work, but not a very good job. I actually sold the 42's tonight. I will be putting on 35" BFG MTR's and building the suspension and steering right. I want a more functional rock crawler that I can drive regularly.

i wish that i could get away with mounting lights on the bumper like that. to bad California cops would hunt me down in a heart beat (nothing against Rt4r )
