Just thought I give my 1/4 mile time for my 2004 4runner, automatic with 87000 mi on it
My son and I went to Speed World here in Orlando and I ran back to back 1/4 mi times of 15.8 sec. That's not bad for a stock truck with a 6 cyl. My son has done engine swaps on his 98 civic and his best time was only 15.5 although he cant seem to get much traction through 1st and 2nd.
I think I'll keep my truck for another 6 years!

Not bad:bigok: I remember in 1978 (or79?) the best quarter mile, mainstream vehicle was a Dodge 1/2ton Lil' Red Express. It tied or beat the TransAm and the 'Vette with a low 15 or high 14 and 15.8 would've been a very respectable time. They don't build them like they used to and I'm glad

I forgot to mention it is a 2wd.

I also have a 98 Trans Am only exhaust and free mods, it turns out 13.2 @ 109 all night long without drag radials with drag radials she runs high 12's. I think they still make them pretty good now a days!

Vehicles and their 1/4 mile times have come along ways especially when a RAV4 runs a 14.7.

I had an '93 AWD Eclipse turbo that was cutting 14.9s stock and with a few simple mods and a slightly bigger turbo and a better clutch was running 12.4s down at sea level and ran a best of 12.9 up here at 5800ft above sea level and with AWD could do 60 foot times of 1.7 secs on all season radials. I had over 400m timeslips on the car from '95-'03 and never touched the engine itself,it was all bolt-ons. Not bad for 122ci.
