4.7L in a first gen ?

Just wondering if anyone has ever put a 4.7 L in a first Gen. 4runner? . . . I did do a little bit of looking around on the net I didn't really see anything. But I'm tired and may have missed it.
Anyway, if anyone has done it or has any info on it I would appreciate it

1uz or 2uz?

There are quite a few 1uz swaps.

I have one from an ‘02 Tundra that I may put in one day. There isn’t much info on the net for the 2uz swap. From what I’ve found, the oil filter housing/cooler will have to be swapped for a 1uz filter housing to clear the frame, and the exhaust manifolds (stock or aftermarket) and possibly steering shaft will have to be modified. It’s a tight fit.

Hmmm, I haven't heard of anyone dropping a 2UZFE into a 1st Gen, but I have seen one with a 5VZFE (3.4). That was a friend's rig, and it was badass. I think a 2UZFE would be a bit overkill for a 1st Gen...
