that's the one I have in stored, folded in a box on a shelf in the garage, and I want to sell it because I do not think it will fit with the new WMW full-length roof rack in place (and my 4Runner sits parked in the garage anyway)...

Did you also get it from the Toyota dealer? I bought mine second hand from an original owner, it's seriously the best quality car cover I have ever owned hands down. It's very waterproof.
Sure is no substitute for a garage, but it's a really nice cover. Hell I'd throw an offer at you if I didn't already have one, two would be nice!! I hope OP buys it and enjoys it.

Whats the brand of the cover? My car would be sitting outside instead of a garage is that cover an outdoor cover?

I also live in so Cal and once considered a car cover for my truck. I wanted it because I was leaving on a 9-10 mo deployment.
Someone wisely advised against using a car cover on my truck.
The warning was this... If you leave your truck with a cover on it OUTSIDE, dirt will absolutely get on it and under the cover. Each morning at dew point the dirt will crystallize on the paint (common and no big deal by itself) then during each night or day to come the wind will blow and rub the cover against the paint, sanding and scratching. Repeat every week until you return.
The best solution in the example above is to wash and WAX the truck then get a much dust and dirt (not mud) on it possible and let it sit coated (no formal cover) in dust untouched until you return. I have done this twice and my paint is still strong after 13 years.
Not sure if this applies exactly to you but that is why I don't recommend a cover. Now if your only parking option is under a tree inhabited by seagulls then you may want a cover. In my case I would have had to leave it on Coronado island which can be very windy.

Interesting point above but I think this is going to be more of an issue with single layer covers and drier, dusty areas than I live in.
I'm in the market too. My 4Runner is a 1990 2nd gen, so only 2 inches shorted than the 3rd gens. Would appreciate any information people have on sizing.
