My only complaint about my 4runner is with the sunroof I just don't have any headroom. I"m 6'4" and I have to tilt the seat back so that my head isn't rubbing, which isn't always the most comfortable.
Not a complaint, but I would LOVE to have a supercharger on mine!!! Of course, I saw on the URD site yesterday that they are working on a supercharger for the 4th gen V8...:D
 
This is awesome, I have been toying with the idea of going for a GX460. Nice whip, love your build, keep it coming :party:

I'm 6' even and I still have plenty of headroom. I would love a supercharger as well, glad to hear URD is providing an option for us, but I think next for me would be those newly developed Doug Thorley headers for our 4th gens. The V8 already has so much more power and torque than my old FJ's 4.0 V6 so I'm happy for now :)

Ya the headers are my next upgrade. My stock manifolds are shot! Drives me nits to hear the tick from them. I plan on having a y-pipe without cats made too.
 
Do you work at 3600 birch in Newport Beach by any chance?? I am 99% sure I have seen your GX. Looks really good especially with the snorkel.
 
My little homage to the Prado platform: bought a FJ60 land cruiser emblem, chopped off the Toyota part and sprayed with bedliner to match snorkel and attached with 3m automotive emblem double stick tape. It came out just as I imagined!

 
Had a nice camping weekend, stayed at Dome Springs Campground in Los Padres National Forest. We were pretty much the only group in the whole campground and it was open shooting everywhere. Fun weekend of fast wash sections mixed with rock gardens, shooting, and sitting around the fire, great times!













All in all, wonderful weekend, although my exhaust decided to high tuck itself in the rock garden, you live and you learn, time for a rechop!

 
Killer location. What's the campsite called? I'll need to head up there soon.

Have you considered chopping the exhaust off after the axle and getting rid of the resonator? (Not sure if you've already removed that or not). I've smashed my exhaust one too many times, but I'm hesitant to cut off the resonator with the v8.
 
Campsite is called Dome Springs campground in Los Padres National Forest, its off the Frazier Mtn Road exit off the 5 past Gorman and then 30 or so miles inland. I already deleted the resonator long time ago, and I'm probably going to chop it right after it crosses over the axle and have it point down.
 
Love following this build, and seeing the stuff you do and the places you go in that great rig!

Finally got some funds to score me a good deal on some used 4th gen 4runner Demello Offroad X-Wing sliders this last weekend. A big thanks to Jason Fleck for the installation help and the use of his awesome shop. We were prepared to weld these bad boys on, but to our surprise, they bolted right up to the existing factory holes minus the pain of having to drop the gas tank skid. These are super beefy and overkill but I love them and just happy to finally have some sliders on my rig!

If I can ask, what are you seeing for MPG's in daily driving with that beast?
