Do you know the best way to check the switch? And do you know what changing the switch entails? Seems like the entire dash would have to be removed?

My 4Lo is a flasher/beeper and has been for several years, I'm almost afraid to keep trying it for fear it might go in some day and then not come out.

4lo is tricky. car in neutral. if it will not engage go into reverse for 10 feet or so. then repeat.

You'll want to use your 4Lo at least monthly for 10 miles or so just to keep it working. Common for it to seize up. Mine wasn't working when I bought it until I took a roadtrip through the southwest and in 120 degree heat and 8 hours of driving, I tried it on a whim and it unstuck. Been working great ever since.

A gentle correction...you'll want to use your 4WD, not just 4LO, for a total of ~10 miles. I usually go to 4HI, drive the 10 miles, then find a parking lot or somewhere and run through all the remaining modes - 4HI Locked, 4LO, 4LO locked, driving 50 feet or so in each. Ten miles in 4LO would take you a minute. LOL

mines used to have this issue, i read somewhere that after a long drive in the heat someone tried it and it worked, i went on a road trip in the summer and after about 12 hours of driving i gave it a try and it ended up working, i have cycled it twice a month since then.
