4R ran a little ragged today, first time ever.

Pulled into St Louis last night on fumes, then drove a 1/2 mile to the hotel. This morning when I started the 4R it felt like it was bogging... I had to really step on the gas to get it moving, it felt like it cleared for a second then felt sluggish again.

I burned almost 3/4 tank on the way home and then filled it up again. It feels better but still not like it was. Hasn't thrown a code so I'll keep an eye on it.

Plugs are 25k, so is the head gasket repair.

Any thoughts? First time my 4R has ever felt this way.

When was the last time your throttle body and Mass Air Flow sensor were cleaned?

That might be your problem then. Get those two things done and see how much it improves. Very easy to do. If you don't know how, I've seen a few threads on here that a search should find. To clean the MAF, you have to buy a special spray, MAF cleaner, and just spray it down and let it dry. To clean the throttle body, open it up and wipe it clean of the carbon build up. They also have sprays to help with this as well, look for Throttle Body/Carburetor Cleaner.
 
Also unhook the battery. It could have put itself in limp mode when you were running low, mine has done it before. Just remember to reset the clock, radio presets, and auto function on the drivers side and tailgate window.
 
UPDATE: Cleaned the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body this AM.

MAF was slightly discolored, throttle body looked like mud...

Everything is back together and so is the power!!

One question. I assume the high idle will go back down once the truck is driven a distance? Just want to be sure I didn't mess anything up.
