Nice truck! I actually considered buying an old Toyota pickup about a year ago. I used to drive a Honda S2000, and wanted to buy a truck so I was looking at 89-95 Toyota pickups. After doing a lot of reading I came to realize I no longer wanted one with the 3.0 V6 due to those engines being problematic, and I wanted a V6 not the 22RE (even though that engine is known for being bullet proof). Long story short, I looked at 1st Gen Tacomas, decided to sell my car and ended up buying a 3rd Gen 4runner :thumb3:.

Great!

I love the look! My favorite color for a vehicle is red.... I love it! I'm in the process of de-rusting my rig and I have the bumpers off, I wish I could put on the bumpers you installed! I will have to wait till $$ appears before I replace them--- in the meantime, I have to treat the stock ones...

Nice my dad actually has an 05 s2k. It took a long time to find the right truck but when I came across mine I had to have it specially with the turbo and extra cab. Maybe down the line I will swap in a supra turbo, supposedly can boost me up to 200 hp.

Thanks man. What are you going to paint the stock ones?

bumpers...

I had some rust inside the bumpers but virtually none, anywhere else. I coated the inside surfaces with Rust Bullet and Rust-o-eum. I had no perforations or blemishes on the chrome front surfaces. Therefore, I left it alone. In my neck of the woods, the majority of the 4runners, of my vintage, have rust holes in the rear and front bumpers. It will be unusual to have no holes!!

I WILL buy another S2K one of these days. It is my favorite car by far, but I would LOVE to have a Supra MK4.

Nice Anthony! I really want to pick up a beater truck or 1st gen 4runner as a wheeler. That color combo is going to look amazing. Keep up the great work.

Great build!

Love the look and the color. The tires and mags are great, not to mention the lights, roof rack, and of course the lift! Love the grille(plan on doing this in the future) and the front and rear bumpers! Wow!
Good job!

Thanks man it took a while but Im really happy with it. The grill was one of my favorite mods changed the look of it completely you should do it!

Well here's the finished product! Color is more gray than green in the pics but pictures don't do it justice. Just a few more little things to get like a rear bumper and flush some fluids. Very happy with how it came out.
Here's the before pic for reference:

Very nice job on both rides t4r is awesome! And ur new addition is very nicre as well....I vote u doing a satoshi mod on the pick up...Haha

Love the Pickup!!! I like what you did w/the interior a LOT! Looks like a Tacoma Center Console to me, shifter boots, knobs, and all. New upholstery on the seats, and the fresh carpet makes it look brand new.

The color was a great choice and goes perfect with the wheels.

Forget the stupid "Like" button, where is the "WANT" button?

Outstanding, looks fun to drive!
Thanks for the compliments guys it looks better than I imagined. Idk about the satoshi mod probably keep the stock look for a while. And as far as sfa is concerned I think a turbocharger is almost as good haha. maybe later down the line after graduate school it will get a long travel setup:surfer:

Love the restoration and the color you went with. I have an 88 4runner that I'm pretty much restoring since the previous owner took no care of it whatsoever, which is in need of a paint job pretty bad, may I ask what price I'd be looking for with a full strip, primered, paint, and clear? Not sure if you did any yourself or not, but I would most likely have a shop do all the small body work and paint. PM if you'd like to talk about pricing there, thanks and nice rigs!

How easy to get the front bumper installed to the truck? I know ARB Taco bumper needs some minor modifications.

I am considering installing the shrockwork bumper. If it is simple bolt on I will go with it.

Also where did you get the hood scoop? was it the entire hood?

Thanks
