4runit [ Build Thread ]

What process do you go through to get the paint to look like that? It looks absolutely wonderful in the pics. It looks like it has a layer of gloss on the surface, and your paint brings a whole new meaning to Sunfire Red PEARL!

Hey man where are you at as of now? Hopefully we could get together this next December and wheel if you're not in Hawaii. I'd really like to meet up and see your beast haha. I'm in San Diego.

What paint?

Figured I'd finally take the time to update the thread, been a long time since I spent some time on the forum. I recently went on a day trip to a trail near Arnold, CA where we helped out a 4x4 club from Concord called Gettin Off clean up and clear a trail they had adopted which had some nice obstacles and mild water crossings. Felt pretty good keeping up with the more experienced club members who had some pretty crazy rigs. Also learned some winching techniques where we moved a fallen tree with the help of a snatch block.

My most recent mods have been:

-Retrofitted projector headlights
-Color matched 00-02 Grill
-Custom fitted LED "Daytime Running Lights"
-New Rockford Fosgate speakers and amp
-new scratches :trophy:

^Sunfire Candy. Got the matched paint at NAPA.

I went to NAPA today, but no Sunfire red pearl. Shared the code with clerk and he said he could mix up a PINT for $39.xx! What's your secret Man?! Or Is this the standard touch up price? The clerk was more shocked than I was.

Man, this rig is so awesome! Congrats on all the great work and it's way cool that you've got to work on it with your dad.

I'm still in the hunt for my first T4R—my dad's getting older, but it's a dream of mine to work on a rig with him.

Regarding your rebuilt engine—any issues there since?
