4Runner 08 Transmission hit (I think)

Hello everyone,

I have a 4runner 08, V6 aut. 4X4

The problem is this,

I feel a hit coming from the back, I guess it's in the transmission because only feel it in low gears, for example from second to first gear when the vehicle is stopping, sometimes also feel the hit of first gear to second gear, this happens when the vehicle is completely stopped, i started and loose throttle, then that will happen from first gear to second gear transmission gives the hit.

On the other transmission gears working normally,

Someone who has had this experience? Please help me, that's very frustrating for me to feel and hear all the time this hit :crazy:

Sounds like the infamous driveline thump/clunk. Lube the drive shaft good and hopefully will disappear. Search for more details on this site.

Forgive me for sounding dumb, but anyone have a link to this problem and the fix? I just started having this in my 08 as well the past month. I searched the forum but I found stuff unrelated to exactly what I am feeling. Scared me that it might be a transmission problem and I don't want to have someone look at it as I don't really feel like getting bad news like that right now.

I just originally pumped 10 or so into slip yokes and followup with a couple pumps every six months afterwards. No thump/bumps since then.
