4Runner Broken Into - This Sucks

Thats really not going to stop anyone. If anything that can potentially cause more damage. The window will still crack into a thousand little pieces, but since the tint is holding the pieces together many times the busted up window ends up hanging down on the outside of the door potentially scratching up your paint. My last two cars have both had tinted windows and have both been broken into.

I haven't been able to pick up my stuff from the Sheriff's station yet but so far it looks like I will be getting my TomTom GPS, Garmin hand held GPS, and the center console clock back.
Turns out they pulled they guy over for simply looking "too out of place" as the sheriff put it. So much for reasonable cause, but hey, it worked out in my favor. The driver's story didn't check out and he couldn't explain the stuff in his car. They also searched his house and found more stolen property.
The new tinted rear passenger glass cost me $145 bucks so I'm down at least that amount. Most likely the radio, too.
It's a creepy silence in the car without a radio. While I appreciate that my 4Runner is that quiet inside... I need a radio ASAP
I also never really knew how much I looked at the clock until now that it's not there.

I think the cd players with the security feature that disables the radio completely if its removed is the best way to go. Usually you get a little sticker to put on your window to advertise the fact that if the radio gets pulled out its rendered useless. Thats what I have in my truck.
