4Runner delivery hold

This is a satellite image (could be very old) on Bing maps of the port facility in NJ with the NYK transporter being unloaded that Toyota uses.

Just bored and picked a random white vehicle. But I do think this is where the NE vehicles are/where being held.

Figured it was google and not current. Really thought things were resolved and trucks were being released.

That's what the Dealer in PA said. I have a message into my salesperson to confirm the hold has been lifted but she hasn't got back to me yet. Please post any update you hear.

I have been following cars.com
First vehicle delivered to Long Island, and I think, first to East Coast, yesterday to Smithtown Toyota Smithtown NY.
I Spoke to salesman he told me delivered to dealer yesterday and to customer last night.

Only would say it went to someone on South Shore.

Good sign for the rest of us.

If new owner happens to visit this forum would love to see it in person.

I’ve been waiting for a call from the Dealer this morning, they’ve been calling/texting me to tell me that it hasn’t been released from the Port of Houston yet.

Yesterday I called Gulf States Toyota direct and asked for an explanation, got the requisite BS answer and “…there is an expedite order attached to yours, since you are leaving town on tuesday for 14 days.”

Thinking about heading into Don McGill this morning and not leaving until I get the GM to give a definitive answer.

Salesman sent a text yesterday that said the Mgr was on the phone with GST and waiting on an answer (at noon) and never heard anything back. They usually receive shipments at 7:30am daily, but not too sure on the weekends.

The frustrating thing about this whole experience: We went in to order the TRD Pro, and my wife saw a nice Tundra that they had lifted w/35”s on it; so we went ahead and traded her 2014 Tundra in on it. They’re fixin to get damn near $20K in CASH from me in 2 months for 2 NEW vehicles, and yet they can’t provide me w/a simple call, except to tell me that it’s going to 2 more days; then 2 days later- its’ going to be 2 more days…..Rinse & Repeat for the last 10 days…….

Smithtown Toyota called me back and apparently the truck was not delivered yet so I was able to see it in person. It was just going in for prep. looks great. Too bad couldn't test drive.

Dealer just texed me that the truck will get to them a week from today, so definitely status changed and they are moving off the hold now. will let you know once it's at the dealer. jtallequipment - you may want to ping your dealer today.
