"4Runner" Emblem Ripped Off

Hey there folks, I had my 1999 4Runner emblem ripped off in a car wash. It took it off the car then snapped the emblem in half so now I have two pieces of "4Run" and "ner". Does anyone have any insight as to what the best way to put that thing back on would be? Is there a place I can get a new one reasonably or should I try to super glue the pieces together and epoxy it to the car?

I'd try super gluing it together instead of spending $20 on a new one, but I certainly wouldn't "epoxy" it to my truck. Just use double-sided tape like it had from the factory.

You were lucky, I had my rear wiper arm ripped off in a tunnel car wash. Twice!
The first time my insurance covered it because the car wash wouldn't be
responsible for damage on vehicles over 10 yrs. old. The second time the car
wash company covered it. They wouldn't let me repair it myself I had to take
it to a Toyota dealer and it was over $800!
So now I keep a 10mm wrench with me and remove the rear wiper arm if I
go thru a car wash.

Use fishing wire along with a paint safe solvent to take off the remainder of the old piece. If you feel that you can JB weld the two pieces back together then clean up the old 3m adhesive, isopropyl the ends, use plastic to plastic JB weld, and clam it tight over night. - If it's stable then get some 3m double sided adhesive and but that thing back on there!

You might get it to work but the eBay path is gives you a clean, unbroken piece that you can simply adhere back in bub.

I had the same thing happen to my rear wiper arm assembly on my 4Runner. Ripped the arm in half, and tossed it somewhere inside the car wash. Then, not long after that, I noticed my left side mirror housing getting loose and vibrating. I also noticed that my hand wax never seemed to last very long, so I cancelled my car wash membership, and now I wash by hand. Never again will I run any car of mine through an automatic car wash!

I stopped going to car washes a decade ago when I ran my Pearl white Mk3 Supra Turbo through a tunnel. I heard a horrendous metal snap and my rear windshield wiper was broken off and was stuck on the swirling washers which began to slap the metal wiper all against the rear window, hatch back, and rear spoiler. - You could imagine how mad I was. I complained so much to Chevron that they covered the entire repair bill but the experience keeps me from ever going to one of those ever again.

Right, do yourself a favor, do a ceramic coat to protect your paint and get a high powered blower so you can blow dry your Runner instead of hand wiping it which tends to leave abrasive marks through time. Because I do this, I tend to water down the rig and just blow it dry half the time. I only wash it when it really looks like there's layers of dirt on the thing.
