4Runner lowering window

I used to have a 1988 4Runner, and loved it because the rear window could be lowered as compared to other SUVs.
It is my understanding that newer years do not have the window that can be lowered. What years do and don't have lowering windows?

As far as I know, they all have that feature - even the new ones.

I have a 2014, and the window goes down. Push button on the center console near shifter and seat warmer switches.

Rear window

I just bought a 2015 Trail and the rear window lowers just fine - from the switch on the console and with the key in the rear hatch lock.

as said above, they all go down.

they just switched to a rear lift gate, instead of a drop down tailgate. but the window stills goes down.
