I have a 2002 t4r limited and i want to start getting some off road mods going starting with suspension. Im pretty set on ome as they are great quality and reasonably priced but im unsure on what type of springs and shocks to get because i have stock weight for now but will be adding aftermarket front and rear bumpers, winch, skid plates, rock sliders etc. So i wanted to see if any body has ran 883 front coils (200lbs additional weight over stock) and 890 rear coils (medium) and medium valving shocks with stock weight? And how does it ride? How much lift did it end up being? And vice versa; has anybody ran soft springs and shocks then added extra weight later.and how did that ride, was there any sagging? Any info, recommendations, or ideas are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Well if you go with heavy coils at first. Your truck will ride so stiff its horrible. It will be solid as a rock. Coils are pretty cheap, usually less than $200.
I went with ome 881's. They can handle about 100lb extra without too much issues. They ride good stock and now with my hybrid bumper and winch im about 120lb over and its softer now but rides great. We will see how long they last, but I will swap them out if I need too. So if you go with lighter aftermarket bumpers and synthetic line you can get away with 881's and have a good ride for time to come.
I would go softer in rear and then if you get over weight bye that time you can swap the coils for others. Depends on how fast your going to get the weight. If you will get all the other mods within the year than yea get the heavy coils, if it takes a few years I would go with softer coils.

I have the exact setup you asked about 883-F and 890-R and absolutely love it. I agree it will be a bit stiff with your stock ride, but if you start installing racks, skids, sliders, bumpers, winch, etc. then the weight adds up pretty quick. With the extra weight on my rig it has a nice balance of firm enough for street but nice comfortable off-road manners which was most important to me. Before adding the bumper/winch up front I thought is was a tad stiff up there for off-road, but really glad I have the 883's up there now to control the added weight and produce a real nice ride in the bumpy stuff.
If at all possible, I would try jumping in a couple different moded Runners and see what you like (go on a group drive and meet some folks). IMO suspensions are totally subjective to ones personal preferences so what may be too soft or firm for someone may be just right for another.

Thanks for the advice guys, and i think im gonna go with the soft setup because it may be a while before im gonna be able to save money for the other mods and its still my dd. When i end up putting the extra weight on ill switch the springs out if needed. Ill be sure to post a build thread with pictures when i start, again thanks for the advice guys really helpfull
