Hello, I have. Bought a Toyota 4Runner SR5 Limited Wagon 1991 3.0 v6 Automatic 330,000 k's

Ill admit it was a blind buy as it was a steal of a price.

Anyhow it will over heat after 20 minutes and has a high idle 1500 rpm

I have flushed the radiator, the clutch fan was slow so replaced that, it doesn't show no sights of head gasket I'm thinking it could be the water pump..

Have tested thermostat

Sorry if I haven't been detailed enough if you need me to give any other info please let me know..

Thanks in advance for any help

if you're going to replace water pump, might as well replace radiator, radiator hoses, tstat, all the cooling components just so you don't have to worry about it later on. also, you can rule out any of those items if it still over heats. as well as replacing all the heater hoses won't hurt, i don't know if you're leaking any fluids, but those things tend to leak... i did mine before i realized it was bad heads and the gaskets... good luck!

Sounds like you might be running too rich a mixture like if your engine thinks it's still cold and not to temperature.... This could be due to a number of things but you might want to check to see if your throttle body opens when the engine reaches temp....

Might also want to clean, inspect and if necessary replace your MAF..... It has a major role in the logic that determines the fuel air mix.....
