4Runner Paint Job

I live in an area of the country where there is a lot of dew on vehicles during the fall. Every morning i go out to my 4runner, it is covered in a layer of dew. From about 20 feet out, you really can't tell its dew. It just looks like a "flat" black paint job (no shine). I like the 5th gen because of the hard lines on the edges and the toughness appeal, but with the flat paint appearance it looks even better. Anybody else notice this? Also, does anybody have a flat paint coating on their vehicle? This might not even make sense based on how I am writing it, but it makes sense in my head.

Got a quote before I deployed to have mine painted matte black for $1045. It'll probably be one of the first things I do when I get back. Can't wait. :beer:

Also, does anybody have a flat paint coating on their vehicle? This might not even make sense based on how I am writing it, but it makes sense in my head.

Someone here has applied that clear 3M type coating to the 4R with a matte finish. You keep the factory paint, just changes the finish. There are pics of it, but I believe the member doing it was also an installer for the product as well not easy and cheap on his end.

Avery Supreme Wrapping Film

From a Sign Supply place you can pick up a 60" x 25yard roll of Matte Black Vinyl for like $600. Heat gun $45. Squeegee $3. Razor Knife set $5. masking tape $3. Magnets $5. + 1 Hr watching YouTube videos on wrapping a vehicle. Avery is much cheaper than 3m but still good stuff.

I am trying to think of ideas for graphics on mine... thinking about doing a 2 tone Metalic Black Vinyl with Matte Black graphics and wording in Bright Blue and Lime Green. Idk yet.
