The rule is if the latest challenge doesn't get solved in 3 days, it reverts back to the previous solved challenge... a repeat. This does a couple of things. It moves away from the last challenge in case it was too hard or unlikely. It allows someone who has a picture for the last completed challenge but was too late to use it to now use that pic to move the game forward and issue a new challenge. That's the way I understand it anyway.

Well, to be honest I'm not sure what you mean by hog. So I just snapped a couple in my driveway to cover a few fronts.

I believe I have seen signs like that on unpaved roads leading into forests or other rugged areas. The minimum maintenance is a warning that the road may not be suitable for a normal vehicle.

Yep, that is exactly what it is. They are typically in very rural, middle of nowhere roads. In Kansas this is the explanation for them (Missouri is similar):
A "minimum maintenance" road is a road that receives little or no routine maintenance and has been officially designated as such by the Board of County Commissioners. Kansas law (K.S.A. 68-5,102) allows for certain roads to be designated as "minimum maintenance" for various reasons. Generally, roads that have been so designated have very low traffic volumes and the local township with maintenance jurisdiction has determined other roads with higher traffic volumes deserve more attention and resources.
Designating a road as "minimum maintenance" reduces the tort liability associated with failure to maintain a roadway to normal standards.
Maybe there is no similar law like that in Massachusetts?

Hold a picture of 4Runner in front of said sign. Take picture and profit. Technically it's a picture that includes your 4Runner and the challenge , yes?

Or just go to the sign in another vehicle, take it down, and go home. Then take a picture with it, and return the sign.

Or find a super new satellite image that includes both the sign and your 4Runner
Sadly, I'd have to drive hours to find one of those signs unless I print one off the internet

I've never seen one that says "minimum maintenance" like that... Lots that say unmaintained road, however.

Sounds like the signs vary by states.
I haven't seen any in WA, but I don't frequent the roads that might have one.
When are they putting the "unmaintained road" sign on I-5 :wow:
