4Runner & Tacoma, Tow Hook Mounts The Same?

The tow hook mounts on a 96-98 3rd gen and a Tacoma, are they the same? The reason I'm asking this is because after looking this Tacoma with the Safari bar, I want one but they don't make it for the 96-98 4Runers. Do you think I will have problems mounting it if the tow hook mounts are the same?

Looks like its going to fit but it is going to stick out a maybe 1 or 2 more than it would on a Tacoma. But then there's the 2001-2002 Tacoma's that have the bumper that does not stick out as far. What do you guys think?
