I like how the Toyota rep says the Pro has a "functional skid plate" and says the FJ Cruiser Trail Team is the only other vehicle they've made with a functional skid plate. He just admitted the stock one is worthless! We already knew that, but still...I can't believe he actually said that.
The rep I spoke with said Toyota hasn't decided what tire will be fitted yet but they did have Nittos before the Faulkens that are on there in these pics

I'm almost certain they'll be 265/70-17s. But, I wonder what rating they'll get - C,D,E....

It may just be me, but these guys seem like hacks. comparing it to the Tahoe??? that's where the Sequoia comes in... They should be comparing to it to the Durango, or TrailBlazer and at one point he says it comes with a straight 6...

Are you saying the Trails have different exhausts then SR5s? The exhaust note does seem different the stock though. It is hard to tell from the video, but it doesn't look any different from a stock SR5 exhaust.
Speaking of which did you notice the Toyota rep said the TRD Pro is being equipped with the Nitto Terra Grappler.

i've noticed that the Nittos are cited in the latest round of articles re: TRD Pro. so, no Falkens...
i'm really glad to see the 4Runner get some love from TRD. that said, it seems like the Tundra and Tacoma are more the favored children and the 4Runner is the red-headed step-child. personally, i'm pretty underwhelmed by the Pro 4Runner. all the more so given all signs seem to indicate a ~$45k sticker
when you figure only 7500 TRD Pro Tundra, Tacoma, and 4Runners are slated to be produced, it stands to reason that sticker prices will pretty much be sale prices. so, yeah, no.

Well, we're talking about two different trucks. The article was a review of the Tacoma, so no Trail version to compare there. But, as for the exhaust, I think the stainless steel reference means it's retained from the TX Pro Taco. Even then it's probably only the tip, not the headers like on the Tundra.
Now as for tuning, it wouldn't surprise me if Toyota gave all the TRD PRO editions something a little "throatier" just because. I don't know for sure though.
Edit: Just looked through the pickuptrucks.com article again, and it does say the new Taco gets dual exhaust. So that's different.
