4runner TRD Pro

Doesn't that just make you wonder if you should be doing any business with them at all?

I went to a dealership this weekend and spoke with a sales rep. Went to ask him if he had any info on the TRD Pro and he didn't. He told me to come with him to check with his manager. His manager told me that the TRD Pro can be added on later...:ak472:

Nope, no business for them. Bunch of *******s anyway.

The dealer I bought from knows about the PRO but can't take orders for them yet.

Yes, it can be added later. It is just bilstein/eibach front suspension and colored body pieces. Why pay $45K for a TRD Pro when you can get a SR5 and add the suspension for $600?

my saleswoman told me they would probably only get 1 or 2 of each PRO model on their lot as they will be a "very limited production"

Also added no way to hold/put deposit on one.... so at least didn't pitch anything

My dealership, Right Toyota in Scottsdale AZ, has been working hard on this since April and they have dug up lots of info for me. Regardless of what is said, Toyota has begun taking pre-orders for these and if you want one, you had better either push your dealership to get in on this or find a dealership that has a handle on these. Based on the info that I have, there are only going to be 1500 built for the 2015 year. This comes from a Toyota factory rep in the loop. As of now there are also no plans to build it beyond 2015 but as we all know, that could change based on demand and what Toyota feels the reward or value is in building more.

I was just reading in Motor Trend about all this. Supposedly 7500 is the magic number. I dont know if that is across the board for all 3 TRD Pros, or if thats per vehicle. I love my current Tundra, and really wouldnt want to get rid of the 3rd gen.......but I really, REALLY want one of these....

Hope this is true, I called my local dealership, which is a very large one on the East Coast. My sales guy, who I've been in contact with since Feb about the TRD Pro, is halfway competent when talking cars and is looking into it and is going to call me back to take deposit for one as long as he can submit a pre-order. I'm still having a tough time debating between black or white this time around... decisions decisions...

When I lived in Scottsdale I always went to Right Toyota. Great place, always friendly, and always willing to help. Another advantage was living close to Camelback Toyota; super cheap parts! I miss AZ.

Does anyone know if the TRD Pro skid plate is available for purchase? Can't find anything online and the dealership is zero help.

I've been dealing with my local dealer on a TRD Pro 4Runner. They know about as much as we do unfortunately. He knows we want to buy one. We plan on leaving a deposit. Right now they are in contact with their Toyota Rep to try and get more info.

I'm kind of raising an eyebrow at Toyota for not releasing more info by now it supposedly going on sale in a few months. Price and official specs would be nice. That way dealers could start dealing with their customers appropriately.
