4runner TRD Pro

I got a text from my tech at LeBlanc Toyota dealership that a TRDPro 4Runner with a pic.
Funny because I already had a appointment for some service.
Called my salesman and told him I wanted to take a test drive first thing in the morning.
Long story short, I arrived and we went for that test drive. It had 3 miles on it.
Can definitely tell the difference on the new coilovers and rear shocks compared to the OEM and even the TRD/BILSTEINS off-roads (from a FJ w/off-road package) installed on my SR5 with stock coils.

Suprisingly, the price has not been inflated on this truck.
Only the add ons sent the price above the normal advertised MSRP.
Also, they are expecting more to arrive.

I'm curious, those are different running boards/bars than what I've seen on others. Were those ordered from the factory or were they added on at the dealership?

Personally, I was not a fan of them!

Here you go, right off the sticker, hope this helps.........

Interesting...I think the ones I was able to order were not the tube step boards. I'll have to check my paperwork to see. They only gave me one option.

Your truck is badass!

Picking Up my White TRD Pro either tomorrow or Monday. Depends on how late my kids game run. I have been waiting on this car since May when I decided I wanted it. I ordered it last week of July and accused the dealer of pulling a fast one and selling the one I ordered because it was late coming in, but then I looked on here and found out that they were all held in port. I have spent too much time on this board over the last couple of months drooling over everybody's builds. The last two months I have been searching other SUV, ones that would be more practically for my family, but when they called me today and said everything is worked out, numbers are all good, in my mind it became a no brainer. So stoked.

Makes me wonder if they just decide at the port and availability as to what they put as far as steps go.

Thanks on the truck complement!
Not nearly as badass as some here on the site!

I have seen the build sheet for 2 white TRDP's. One had just the sliding cargo deck, the other had the sliding cargo deck and rigid running boards.

Also I know of 3 Inferno TRDP Tundras in my area, they don't seem to be selling. Either that or these dealers are gouging enough that people aren't buying.

I imagine this TRDPro 4Runner won't last long on the lot!
My salesman informed me they sold 2 Pro Tundras and a Pro Taco that they rec'd in Inferno..... one was sold to someone as far away as Miami.
Interesting to say the least!

That's the first time I've seen "distributor installed options." We have manufacturer installed options (i.e. factory options) and port installed options. Here in the Denver region, both show up on the window sticker under the manufacturer suggested retail price. Looks like in the Gulf States, the distributor is jumping ahead of the dealer to throw on more stuff (i.e. more cost) and calling it distributor installed options. What's next? Transporter installed options? Delivery guy installed options? Yikes...

Sounds like you're taking it to the extreme.
:noidea:

If I was in the market for one, I think I would have to remove the TRD skids and have them powdercoated black... or sprayed with bedliner. The grey really stands out on the black.

Sliding cargo deck? I've always thought I'd hate one. I saw one on a truck I was looking at a few years ago and I really didn't like it. My FJ is pretty high and I don't think I've ever had any need for it. I'd like to use the truck to sleep in and I pack a bunch of crud in the back all the time. Is the the convenience of the rack worth the space it takes up? Is it a good place for all kinds of dirt and crap to get under? I do like the idea of it being a bench as I miss that on my old 4Runners and for my wife to be able to pull it out if she drives the T4R although she usually just drives the Subaru.

For those of you who own this truck already. What is the story on the lift? Is it purely the stock suspension on different springs? Has there been any other changes to the A arms in particular? Would there be any benefit in using this TRD setup with say spacers to achieve a 3 inch lift vs the stock Trail suspension with new coilovers and springs?

I have received confirmation from two separate dealers that Toyota began production of the Infernos this week. Mine came off the line this Tuesday. They both are projecting 4runners to arrive before the end of the year here in the Pacific NW. Similar to most of you I have been anxiously waiting for quite sometime, so cheers to the folks who have waited. I haven't kept a car longer than three years in my life but I have a feeling this one will stick around for awhile!

When did you order yours?

I ordered my Inferno on 9/30/14 and they estimated delivery around Jan 25, 2015. I still haven't received my VIN yet.

About the same time

I ordered an Inferno the end of August. Just got following info a week or so ago:
Build date is 11/27, ship from Japan 12/9. Arrive to me mid January. I have vin# too.

Dealer told me late december / early Jan. I get the feeling ours will be making the voyage together - can't imaging the ship goes back and forth that fast & often.

Excellent to hear!!! :jump:

New to the Forum and soon to be owner of a TRD Pro in Super White. According to the dealer mine should arrive sometime next week.

This forum has been a great resource in finalizing my decision to purchase a 4Runner.

Noticed on my trdp I have some scratch guard on the handles and on the door lining. Is that a dealer add on? $?

I have it on mine also to include the front of the hood and door edges. I think it was done as they say, at the port.? Not sure if the dealers order it that way but my sales guy said it came in that way and was part of a package or something like that.

Picked up my TRDP on Saturday. Love it. It's super white. Didn't come with cargo tray and was told that has to come from the factory.

Wanted to hear what people are getting in their TRDP as far as gas mileage? I'm getting about 17 driving conservatively.
