It's no big deal and my dealer did the exact same thing. They do it to get more business and have a list of other folks interested in case you back out of the deal.

Concerning interest rates, a friend of mine advised that I look into a Credit Union.
A google search in your own area should bring up a few.
Sometimes the only stipulation for being a "Member" is living in the State or community that the Credit Union serves.
I found one that I qualified for and got 1.99% for 6 years. Sadly that's how long I have to pay for being an "I've got to have the TRD Pro in Black" impulse. Financial analysts will surely lampoon my decision but I am also extremely happy with the vehicle (which does have it's own intrinsic value).
One never knows...give the Credit Unions a look-see!
Not until I read the threads on this forum did I notice the plastic on the front of the fender well was shaved as described. I happen to have the Black version so it is completely un-noticeble unless looking at it directly with a good light source.
We will all see with our own vehicles if the paint starts to peel from those points on the bumper. I'll certainly let folks know if I see it happening. Would it be too much to ask that if it were to happen that it would be within the warranty period? lol!

Yeah thats my first thought but I'll probably love it too much. Heck I can probably drive it 2 years and still get most of my money back.
Don't sweat the trim job. I didn't even know about until I read about it here, I would have never noticed it. They did as good a job as could be done short of respraying the edge. Honestly it's in an area you will not see and I doubt it will chip, besides, you're going off-roading, right? ;-)

Long story short... TRD went to work on one, twice, and twice the unit failed the 100 WOT ( correct me if I'm wrong) test, so they're done with that.
Not sure why it's failing being that it's essentially same engine from tacomas and some previous 4Runner v6, but I'm guessing there's enough differences that the unit no longer is reliable enough on this engine.
thats what we were told by the TRD fellers last summer at the FJ Summit as well

The bottom end is very similar, but the top end is totally different between the 2010+ 1GR for 4Runner, FJ, Tundra and the -2009 1GR for 4Runner, FJ, Tundra and 2nd gen Tacoma.
Plus, a little birdy told me the 1GR isn't going in new product, so I'd say the business case is dead, too. Had the Tacoma gotten the new 1GR in 2010 or 2011, I'm certain that they would have put more R&D into the S/C and figuring out the issues. With only a couple hundred thousand revised 1GRs out there, there aren't enough buyers out there to cover further development on the S/C. Tacoma would have doubled or tripled the number of potential customers.
Hopefully the TRD engineers are busy working on an S/C for the FR-S if you guys can't have one for the 4Runner. I certainly don't think it needs the extra power now, but I could get silly in a few years.

I also talked with the TRD guys a good amount at the FJ Summit and they indicated that they are still going to work on the supercharger but that they had no release date. They didn't see the project getting killed due to the demand for one, which is apparently high. They did say that it would be for the 2010+ V6 that comes in the Tacoma, FJ, and 4Runner. They had been working on this supercharger since 2007 and originally it was planned for the pre-2010 V6, but this changed after the extreme delays in the project. So, we may still see it one day, but as I am sure that you guys would agree, I wouldn't hold my breath.

But they already have one for the non dual VVTI (pre 2010) 1GR-FE.
