I will bet it was remote start. Haven't heard of anyone with push button start short of something custom. Do a search on remote start systems, you may be able to get something better, and cheaper than at the dealership.

Put in a compustar remote start. Uses the factory remote, has a phone app, and rfid auto unlock. Can start anywhere there is cell service through the phone. Was pretty simple to install. Got off of another member here. Was under $300 total installed. Without any of the downfalls of the factory system. It would be different on a limited though.

does anybody have a TRD Pro with sunroof and side mirror turn signals? I have seen promotional videos of the TRD Pro with them but I have never seen one in person.
Those are just prototypes, those features didn't make it to production. Some guys may have put in an aftermarket sunroof though.
Been reading this thread for a while now, and it's been most useful in getting information and seeing how everyone's rigs are configured. Some very nice setups. Finally joined!
I purchased my inferno TRDP back in January and absolutely love it. Traded in a '99 4Runner Highlander for it that I held onto for nearly 16 years. I must say, though, that two things I really miss about the '99 that the TRDP does not have are the moon roof and the remote power rear window.
While I can probably get used to no moon roof over time, not having the rear window accessible via remote seems like a huge step backwards, especially when your hands are full and one needs to fumble with the key, insert it, and manually turn to lower the rear window.
First, am I missing something? Is there a remote key-press combo that lowers the window, e.g. double-pressing unlock or something?
If not, has anyone installed, if possible, a third party remote that can lower, and raise, the rear window?

I was able to get the TRDP out in the dirt the first weekend of Feb and just now having the chance to post up some photos. Let me first say that I am so extremely impressed with this suspension. It is perfectly dampened and the spring rate is right on for the factory vehicle. It is the best damn off-road focused suspension that I have seen released from Toyota yet. I am saddened by the fact that I must replace the suspension to gain the height for the 285s and the additional load carrying capacity.
Beyond this, the truck performed superbly on everything that I tried. Unfortunately, I did not have sliders yet and didn't try anything too difficult as I was worried that I would crush a rocker panel. I did tag the recovery shackle in the receiver hitch one time pretty good during an obstacle departure, but that was little worry for me. Even better yet, was the fact that I built a simple sleeping platform for the rear that fits on one side with the ARB fridge on the other side and I slept two nights in the back of the 4Runner. I am the perfect height to fit and sleep comfortably without the need to remove the rear seat bottom cushions. Just fold the seats down, flip the sleep platform into place, throw down a few sleeping mats and the sleep bags, and I was ready for a good nights rest after a day in the backcountry. I haven't slept that comfortably since doing the same in the back of the 100 Series Land Cruiser I used to have.
Long story short, I love this thing! I hope all of you are enjoying it as much as I am. Get it out and get it dirty!

Just checked mine this morning when the sun came up at work. One is peeling. This is very frustrating, but I guess I will try to pick up some touch up paint...not sure if it's TRD Red, or something specific like that. Maybe they make a paint pen type applicator?
Saw a 4Runner a couple weeks ago on NWHY, and rolled down my window to ask about his rear logos. They were color matched to the trim rather than chrome. He gave me the name of the place that did the work (you have to order the pieces; they paint and install them, as pulling the ones off the rear deck actually breaks them)...but their work looks totally factory.
I cannot decide if I want gloss black like the TRD logos, or that Graphite color on the TOYOTA grill work...(BTW, does that have an actual Toyota color or number??)

The last word on the lower spring perch on the passenger side??? This is straight from Toyota, not a dealer. I'm still tempted to raise the passenger side, get the Toytec 3/4" lift and then an alignment and see how it sits.

Nope. They changed it.
So I have been trying to get back into a 4runner ever since selling off my 2006 Sport. Selling it will go down as one of my biggest mistakes.
Have been wanting a 5th Gen. Trail, though haven't pulled the trigger due to not having the auto on/off headlights. And just not into the looks of the Limited.
Have fallen in love with the TRD Pro, though now that I have my current vehicle sold.....there are no White TRD Pro's available.

TRDPs are not hen's teeth. Was a 5k-mile white TRDP for sale in the classifieds recently. Not sure if still avail. Will probably have to travel to get one regardess. Or ship it across country for $1500.

You should be fine unless you have some really odd smaller than standard garage door opening. I have a normal standard garage and I could fit mine in there even if it had a Gobi rack on it. It doesn't right now but someday it will. The Pro is only like an inch taller in the rear or something like that so don't sweat it.

He said his garage is 70", which 14" shorter than standard garage door height, which is 7' or 84"

Yeah I haven't, in all my years, seen a garage that small so I'm just assuming he didn't remember correctly. Either way, I'm willing to bet he's not a hobbit so he should be good to go. Good advice though to measure again for good peace of mind. If it is 70" take a picture, we want to see it!
